I've been where you are right now. What you neeed to do is start a firm routine with your little one. My doctor recommended - bath, breast/bottle - bed. ( I as well worried about dry skin especially since my daughter does have some mild excema problems but the doctor said that bathing will not dry out the skin - she recommended bath water not too hot, non perfume soap (dove) and moisturise after every bath with either baby oil or creamy vaseline.) The bathing really tires them out and gets them ready for sleep. My daughter used to not go down until midnight but I've finally got him down at 9pm ! waking up at 7'ish. Here is my nightly routine ( i'm not big on routines and have not really established a day routine but the night routine has proven to be a godsend) I'd like to eventually get it even earlier but we'll take this for right now. Tell me what you decide and what ends up working for you.
