: My son was having the same problem at one point. My husband even called me home one day from a church function because he wouldn't take the bottle. Then one day, I warmed the breastmilk up a little warmer than I thought I needed too and he took it no problem. Try warming it so that it is a little warm on your skin.

Just be persistent. My daughter would only take the bottle when SHE wanted to. Once I had to go back to work (very sad day), she went to a daycare provider. Even though my mom, husband and I had trained her to take the bottle (which took some time and persistence), she decided she would no longer take the bottle. She went from age 2 months to 4 months not taking the bottle. SHe wouldn't eat anything from 8 am til 3 pm Monday through Friday. But she was growing and healthy and was never fussy during the day. When I would pick her up she would nurse for about 20 minutes then she would eat about every 2.5 hours for the rest of the evening and once during the night. (Oh, I was pumping, too.) Then somewhere around 4 months she decided it would be ok to go ahead and drink from the bottle. We started her on solids at 6 months. Now she drinks 2-3oz bottles and has breakfast and lunch. So........ your baby will eat when he/she needs to eat. Don't force and don't worry. BTW we use the Avent bottles/nipples. No matter what we tried, that is the only one she would take.

Love,
Michelle
