: Thomas is just a week off 6 months old, and I was wondering about when to introduce finger foods, as I hear that it should be from about 6 months. I give him a rusk sometimes but keep a very close eye on him when eating it and was looking for suggestions of other foods, and whether you think 6 months is too early. He's just got his first high chair which he loves, as he likes to sit at the table with us.

Sounds like our Thomas' could be twins! His birthday was July 25th 2002. He eats like a horse, and gets SO mad when we won't share our big people food. So far he eats toast w/butter, very soft mashed carrots, crackers, baby cookies, and I'll probably try Cheerio's and egg yolks in a few weeks. Lots of baby food still. Have fun and enjoy the mess.
