8mo old not crawling won't play on tummy HELP

Hi. Can anyone help? I have an 8 month old who's not crawling. It doesn't seem like he ever will if he doesn't play on his tummy, but he refuses. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can get him to play on his tummy? Thanks
