Oh... and we haven't had this exact situation, but close. After our daughter was over her cold, she was still waking up at night. And she had conditioned me to getting up automatically to pick her up. Finally, I realized what I was doing and started allowing her to fuss a little before I went to pick her up. Of course she fell back asleep within a minute.

And as for medicine... my daughter is 9 months now and hasn't been ill enough to require any kind of meds, yet. To God be the Glory and my thanks.
