FEEDING WATER TO BABY

Hello, can anyone here give me some advice on giving my baby water. My little girl is 3 weeks old and I am breast feeding her, she is doing well. I have heard that I can introduce water at a night feeding. Has anyone here heard of this, has anyone tried giving water to their baby. Please advise me. Thank you...eli
