: Just wondering when it is generally safe to start using sunscreen on a baby. I have heard 6 mos. is okay, but not sure. Now that the nice weather is practically here, I want to protect my son's face. He has very sensitive skin, and right now all I use is a little bit of vaseline on his cheeks to protect them from the wind and sun.

I started using Sunscreen on my children at 2 monthes old.Use one for sensative skin. You should still keep baby in the shade as much as possible.Using this does not mean you can keep baby out in the sun,it's just a little extra insurance.always take a hat for baby, and you might want to invest in a sunshade or umbrella.
