I have a daughter who is about to turn 3 this weekend. I have a lot of concerns. An example would be, asking her not to touch something, and why she shouldn't, or asking her to stay out of the kitchen REPEATEDLY. Several times per day, things she does every day. But she doesn't listen. Is it that she doesn't remember not to do these things or just doesn't care? What can I do???

She used to listen more to what I said, when she was younger. But now I can ask her and/or tell her not to do something 3 times with in 5 minutes, and yet she still does it.
Sometimes recently, when she hurts me or her dad, or one of our animals, and we tell her that hurt, we say ouch and put a sad face on, and she just laughs at us. We try to explain to her why it's not nice she knows what ouch and hurt means, but she still laughs.
We've given her time outs in her room, or in her bed. But it doesn't matter. I've also tried talking to her, just getting down on her level and explaining to her what it is we are up set about, and asking her not to do it again, it's really hard to get her to say "Ok, or "I'm sorry", let alone to have her mean it. When I try to talk to her like this she normally wont look me in the eye, she'll look over to the TV and start watching it, or try to walk away, or play with a toy. She just doesn't care.
