I was just wondering if anyone has had experience with their baby developing an allergy to a pet.
Lately, my son has had a very runny nose, and has been rubbing his eyes a lot. Both my husband and I have both been sick with colds in the last week and my son seemed to catch this cold from us last week also. I thought that his cold would have cleared by now, but his nose is still very runny.
He has had more exposure to our cat lately as he is trying to crawl over to the cat and touch him. The cat also has a real interest in the baby and will go right up to his face to give him a kiss (my cat loves the baby). Now I am starting to suspect a possible allergy. I've done some research on the internet and have read that allergies don't usually appear until 6 mos of age (which my son is). I am going to try and limit my son's contact with the cat to see if there is any improvement.
