3 1/2yr. old scheduled for surgery...

My son is scheduled for surgery to have his tonsils and adenoids removed and tubes put in his ears this May. I needless to say am a mess!!!

Can anyone give me any light to this surgery...I'm terrified of him going under. I know it is a very common surgery and there is really nothing to worry about but I cant help it. I'm also afraid that he is going to dehydrate after the fact and have to go back into the hospital for I.V.'s. I dont want the poor little guy to have to encounter that situation!

Has anyone else had there child done at such an early age and what was the aftermath?
