That stuff is a MESS it turns everythign is site PURPLE :S
I think that you might want to look for another doctor that is gonna tell you to call a hotline and ask them about medication...

Thrush isnt gonne hurt him unless its really bad my oldest had it when i had him and i just had to keep his mouth clean and he was on the NyStatin (sp? for a long time
