: I PUT MY 5 MONTH OLD DOWN TO SLEEP ON HER BACK. WHEN I GO TO CHECK ON HER SHE HAS ROLLED TO HER STOMACH. THIS HAPPENS SEVERAL TIMES A NIGHT. DO I NEED TO KEEP SWITCHING HER BACK TO HER BACK? OR SHOULD I JUST NOT WORRY ABOUT IT. I KNOW BABIES ARE SAFER SLEEPING ON THEIR BACK BECAUSE OF THE THREAT OF SIDS, BUT IS SHE PAST THE AGE WHEN SIDS IS MOST LIKELY TO OCCUR? I will probably get blasted for this response, but here is my opinion. My 7 week old sleeps better on her stomach, and seems to be more comfortable on her stomach. So, I let her sleep on her stomach. My baby has amazing head control for a 7 week old and is able to lift her head up very well. I say if your baby rolls to her stomach, leave her how she is comfortable. Again, its just my opinion.
