Someone HELP!! Overview: son is 9 months old, very determined, and has major attitude!! We went for our 9 month check up and the dr said we will not discuss tantrums till 12 mos because "that's when they have them, when they can walk". I said he has them now... nothing. OK, so today as every other day... he gets upset because we go in the car. He gets upset when out to eat, when at the store, when playing... ANYTIME!! Catch the drift? So, this afternoon he has a tantrum and SCREAMS at the top of his lungs for over 5 minutes. I ignored the behavior, I tried to focus attention on something else. NOTHING WORKED! What do I do here? Is this normal for such a young age? Maybe it is just me, but I feel as though this child is miserable with me! I am starting to feel like I am doing things all wrong. But, I can't figure out what. Any ideas or advice? I have considered trying to find a child behaviorist or something to make sure this is normal. It doesn't matter what it is... if he doesn't get exactly what he wants when he wants it, the world comes to a complete hault! HELP!
