I typed in the name of my product in Google this evening and this post came up under my search results. I find it very interesting: I am the owner of A.M.B. Enterprises and the inventor of the Miracle Blanket and I would suggest that whoever wrote the above post needs to do some homework before making ridiculous, ludicrous accusations: First of all, the baby on the site is my son who I invented the blanket for due to his colic 13 months ago. The picture was taken in my living room on the carpet and the only digital enhancement was to put him on a background. Yes he had teeth ... he was ten months old. He hadn't used the blanket to sleep for four months but thought it was pretty funny to be wrapped in it. I didn't have a ton of cash to do a pro photo shoot. Next: The post on your site that you are dubious of apparently came from one of our THOUSANDS of amazed and happy customers. I have NO IDEA who it was from, but I get letters from parents just like that one every day. If you took the time to read the testimonials page on the site you would see many, many testimonials and if your paranoia goes so far as to say that they are faked, I will provide you phone numbers, names, addresses and receipts showing they are actually paying customers I've never met. Furthermore, Good Housekeeping tested the blanket for 9 months and their testers thought it was phenomenal ... do you believe them? Read page 65 of the May issue - they wrote a 1/2 page editorial review on the product - and it WAS NOT a paid advertisement. Do you trust Dr. Harvey Karp? He thought it was great after testing on his patients. How about UCLA Medical Center? Their Maternity ward nurses think it's pretty incredible too – as do many other wonderful pediatricians around the country who recommend the Miracle Blanket to their patients suffering with colic; Not to mention doulah associations, and more "mommy" groups than I can count. As for the cost of the blanket; it takes an inordinate amount of high quality fabric to produce this blanket (1.5yds per unit). There are some things built into its design that causes quite a bit of waste - and sewing a $3.00 square blanket isn't quite as hard as sewing a 6 foot wide blanket with no straight lines. The lowest price I have found (even when buying huge quantities overseas – which I do not do) is over ten dollars per blanket. Add packaging, labels, shipping, investor payoffs (10,000 blankets costs over $150,000.00 to produce) and yours truly is not making a lot of money per blanket. Additionally, if I want to ever sell them in retail stores (like thousands of our customers have begged for) I have to keep the retail price high enough so that the retailer stands a chance of making a dollar … if I start undercutting them now, I'm done. Finally, I would point out that anyone could make anything if they're good at it: I made the first Miracle Blanket myself, and I don't sew – but I did create a very unique and simple design that no one else ever thought of. Just keep in mind that if you decide to make a few of these for friends and family, make sure you obey patent laws and get my permission and pay me a royalty for all the blood, sweat tears and incredible expense and suffering I have experienced trying to get these into the hands of people who truly need them. My final question is, "did you read our guarantee?" If someone orders a blanket and doesn't like it FOR ANY REASON WHATSOEVER they get all of their money back - I mean ALL of it ... and in most cases I let them keep the blanket so they don't have to pay for return postage. So your suggestion of total caution to sleep deprived parents who may have the solution to their problem at their fingertips is unwarranted. Furthermore, I would challenge you or anyone to find a more customer service oriented company on the planet … I spent ten years in senior management for one of the top rated customer service companies in the world – I know. Normally, I wouldn't respond defensively to such an offensive "opinion". But since this is my entire life (along with the new charity foundation for special needs children our sales help support), and because so many hundreds of people have actually had their lives changed for the better, I thought I would let you know my "opinion". This blanket works far better than I ever imagined it might. I invented it to simply make the process of swaddling easier. I did not anticipate how wonderfully babies would respond to being swaddled with this blanket. And just so you know, it has been proven beyond any doubt whatsoever that proper swaddling isn't just a "good thing", it is actually THE most effective way to help a child with colic, fussiness or general sleep challenges.
