Steve, I must say that calling someone who is apparently one of my many satisfied customers a liar is pretty mean. I'll try to find out who she is so that you can send her an email and make your accusations to her directly. Unless you have seen the blanket in action your opinion is pretty hateful. If I want to say something, I will say it myself. And there is only one employee in this company ... ME. Yes, you can wrap a baby in a normal receiving blanket - like I did for my first two kids. But what you may not know is that 98% of parents who want to swaddle don't because it's very difficult or impossible to swaddle properly after the baby is a few weeks old - this is an incredibly common frustration among informed parents; it frustrated me to the point that I went to the fabric store and bought the fabric and made the first one myself ... just for me. After using it I realized that a lot of people would love to have one - and you know what? I was right. All of my wife's friends were begging for them. I made them for free for a while and spent over 2,000.00 to make 100 blankets that I gave away for FREE to people who needed them. And they worked. And they were loved. The picture of my beautiful ten-month-old son, Jake, in the blanket seems to offend some people. I find this pretty silly. I took the picture myself after he had been "out" of the blanket for many months ... he still thinks it's pretty fun to be wrapped in it - but I'll admit he doesn't like it much longer than it took to take the picture. As a matter of fact I will email you the original Photoshop file that still has gray carpet as the background. It was taken with a good old 35mm Minolta – not a digital. What kind of world do we live in when a simple picture has to be seen as a conspiracy. Maybe I'm naive, but your theory did not occur to me when I found an excuse to show my son off to thousands of people. Is it worth the price? Well first of all, our margins are A LOT skinnier than you might think. They are certainly a lot skinnier than I would like. It's true that we sell a lot of these, but we are far (FAR) from rich. But if you want to know if it's worth it, ask someone who is using it; I'll bet they'd tell you it's worth ten times the price. And if you buy one and don't think it's worth it, I'd give you all your money back and pay the postage for the return … NO ONE HAS RETURNED ONE YET! As a matter of fact I'd be glad to send you one or two for free to use or give to friends to see what your/their reaction is. It sounds like you might say you don't like it out of spite, but who knows, you might become one of our best testimonials. Posting opinions is fine, but before you get so incensed about someone's offering of a solution to the best of his/her ability, you might want to think about the fact that there are caring, loving, nice people behind the scenes. I typed in my product name on Google and found this discussion as the third result. It bothered me considering I am the inventor of the Miracle Blanket. There are hundreds of people who love our blanket so much that they want to tell everyone they can. Read the testimonials on my site and if you doubt their voracity, I will be happy to prove beyond a doubt that they are all from happy paying customers I have never met. I've received hundreds of these.
