As you may have gathered... what your son is doing isn't unusual. Babies' sleep patterns change at certain times. I'm not sure why they do it but my pediatrician has confirmed that it happens. Our little one had a switch right about that same time. She didn't sleep well until she was about 9 or 10 months old.
