: Those of you who have been on this forum for a while may remember my panicked pleas for help. Hannah was (and still is to an extent) a crappy sleeper. She's what we like to call a high spirited baby, but we love her dearly. Since so many people here offered so much help I thought it might be fun to post an update. : Hannah turns one on Sunday and is sleeping about 9 or 10 hours a night, usually without a wake-up. She usually goes down around 8pm and sleeps until about 5 .. sometimes 6. We occasionally get a 4am wake-up, but a quick trip into her room and a sip of water usually gets her down for another hour or so. We'd prefer to get her down later in the evening and have her sleep later, but we've tried and she gets so tired that it's not worth our trouble. : The little one is walking now and is still as high spirited as always. It's hysterical to see her walk across the room with her arms above her head like a little monkey. That walk added to the fact that she still has one little thin patch of baby hair on her back leads me to call her all kinds of funny names that her mother hates. : Here's my latest favorite story: Hannah has a book called "Chicka Chicka ABC" that has been read to her maybe a dozen or so times. It's by no means her favorite book but it's an okay one. I mentioned it to my wife the other night while Hannah was all the way across the room. The little girl looked at me when I said that, stood up, walked over and picked the book out of a pile of 10-12 other books, and brought it to me. My wife and I looked at each other with our mouths gaping open. I guess it's safe to say that Hannah understands us now. I suppose we're going to have to start spelling things while talking to each other, for fear that the girl will understand us. We already have to do that with Cheerios! : Here's a picture of my angel. Thanks to any and all of you who helped along the way... : What a sweetie!! She's got lots of hair too!
