My sister-in-law had the exact thing happen. She had contractions and went into labour at 26 weeks. She was in the hospital for 1 week, and they gave her some drugs to stop the contractions, she was on a liquid diet the whole time she was in hospital as they thought they may have to do a c-section. The doctor told her the baby would stil have a fighting chance, but the longer the better. She home now, and is on bed rest. Her due date is June 15. She still gets heavy contractions if she's doing someting stressfull. Hope this helps
