My daughter is almost 8 months old. She goes to bed anywhere from 8-9:30 and sleeps a full 12 hours. She gets up and takes a bottle then maybe an hour or 2 later she takes about a 30 minute to an hour nap. She'll get up play awhile, eat her lunch play sometimes takes another bottle after she's eaten her fruits and vegatables then a few hours later she'll take another nap anywhere from 1 hr to 3 hrs long!!!! This really worries me! She then plays awhile whether it be her walker or on the floor with toys and between 5 or 6 she'll take a 15-30 minute nap! And still goes to bed for the full 12 hours around 8:30 or 9!!! It seems like she's sleeping way too much!! She slept ALL the time when she was first born and her Dr. said to enjoy it b/c around 6 months she wont' be doing that anymore and keeping me busy! Well...she doesn't sleep at much but she still sleeps A lot!! When she's awake she gets plenty of physically activity and complete attention from me. Shes going everywhere in her walker and just began trying to crawl these past few days (she army crawls! lol) So I don't think she's really behind schedule or anything. It's simple to say don't let her take a nap but she gets cranky and rubs her eyes and as soon as I pick her up or put her in her swing she's out! Last night we needed to go to the store and I laid her on the floor to play with her toys for no more than 3 minutes while I put some clothes on and I came back she was Sound asleep on the carpet!! She slept for like 30 minutes too! Should I be worried? Is she just a sleepy girl like her daddy or do you think she's going through a growing spurt or could there be something medicaly wrong? This just seems to weird to me! Any advice on sleepy babies would be greatly appreciated!!
Thank you!
