I heard dalmations were NOT good with children as protrayed in the movie 101 dalmations. We have a jack russell. I wouldnt suggest them. I actually heard after we had him, that they were not good with children. We havnt had a problem, but they have so much energy and need a lot of time and attention. I agree a lab is good.
