: Hello-
Ok let me give you a little advice, I know this is going to sound strange but here goes:

When our son (who is 7 months old now) was born he was a terrible "napper". Until we discovered

WHITE NOISE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We turned on the radio (usually AM) and tuned in static.... It worked like a charm. The very first time we did it he slept, "Like a Baby" He eventually stopped needing the static to fall asleep 5 months... This was the best thing...

You should definetly try it...

I was also like you when it comes to letting the baby cry it out, but with the static there was about a 5-10 mintue fuss then off to dream land...

Oh, also my ped. said that baby like the sound of a vaccum also, but I do not suggest that because, they can burn out quickly and the static from the radio is not hard on your ears...

Good Luck and try the trick

Please let me know if it works..
