I went back after 3 months, almost 3 1/2. I have friends who had to go back to work after 6-8 weeks. It's very hard to go back to work no matter how long you have been home with your baby
If your job permits, maybe go back part-time. It's a real shock to the system to be home for weeks/months and then have to go back to work full time. Plus the life of a working Mom is very hectic.
