: My seven and a half month old has started using screaming as his only weapon. He wants me around ALL the time. If I set him down to go to the bathroom, he screams. If I turn my back on him to answer the phone, he screams. If he doesn't want to eat, he screams. When I put him down in his crib, he screams. If I eat lunch he screams. What is with the screaming? If I pass him to anyone, even his dad, he screams. Its like he wants me to be stuck to him like glue. He was never like this before. And when he screams, you could turn deaf. I have got NO work done around the house for the past few days. And I have a headache from his screaming. Not to mention that it is driving my older child nuts too.

Buy stock in Excedrin, enough to last the next couple months. LOL! I know all too well what you are talking about. At that age they go through seperation anxiety! AND MY GOSH it can drive us nuts. But trust me it doesn't last long... and one day you will miss it. I have started to with my 10.5 month old now. He doesn't "need" me the way he used to! If that makes sense. One thing I read when we were going through this is play a lot of hiding games and peek a boo a lot. This helps them to discover that you aren't going away and you always come back! Good luck!
