: My son will be 4 in July and has only once had a Will he have a BM in a potty chair? If so, you may need to have him go in the potty chair. My 3-year-old did not used to like having a BM in public toilets but would go in a potty chair, so I carried her potty chair every where I went. I put in the back of her stroller and took it with me inside the public bathrooms. She now goes in the public bathrooms and in the toilet. Now, I carry a potty chair in the backseat of our van. There have been times when I'll be driving in the middle of nowhere and all of a sudden says, "I gotta pee, I gotta pee." She gets out of her car seat, goes to the back and goes in her chair, and then gets back in her seat. I put a plastic bag in the bowl so when I get home I can just throw it away.

: BM in the potty. He only goes in his underware. We have been to the doctor about
: this and I have read some postings. This has been
: going on for almost a year. I need practable,
: specific advice.... Please!
I think you should ask him 1/2 hour after eating if he needs to have a BM and then have him sit on the toilet for a while but don't force or scold him because he will get worse. Also, praise him even for just sitting on the toilet and give him an award which will encourage him.
