Well Mrs. Steve went through with the plan and ended with mixed results. Hannah drank about 3 ounces of her 8 ounce bottle and started pushing it away. So, the wife sat and rocked her for a bit and told her a story. Hannah seemed perfectly calm, so Mrs. Steve put her down in the crib. Well, of course, Hannah immediately stood up and wanted out of there, but Mrs. Steve just walked out and let her cry. The little one never really went full blown ballistic, so my wife never went in to check on her. She cried for about 35 minutes before falling asleep. Hannah slept for about 50 minutes and woke up raging mad. She didn't want to leave her room, but didn't want to be there. She didn't want to be held but didn't want down. The only thing that stopped her shrieking was to have a little more formula. So, she got some. Honestly, I know the reason behind this. While my MIL holds her, if she wakes up my MIL gives her a couple of sips of formula, and that puts her back to sleep. So, when Hannah woke up she expected formula. I guess this is something else we're going to have to fix :( Anyhow .. it's the first day and it could have been worse. She didn't sleep her normal 2 hours, but at least she slept some.
