: : I am trying hard to stay fit and lose some weight. I work out at home, but I am not very disciplined. I joined a gym recently and I try to go 5 times a week. I usually go at about 9 PM after tucking the kids in bed, cleaning the kitchen, doing the laundry etc. It is so tough to take out the time everyday to go to the gym. I have the time during the day, but childcare for 2 kids at the gym is expensive. Besides, I tried it once and my 8 month old cried so much that I had to cut my workout short and get home. Anyone else out there that is trying to lose weight after childbirth? And how do you stay motivated? : HI Marie, Welcome back. I'm still trying to get rid of some baby fat I gained. I'm back in most of my clothes but I still have some jiggly stuff on my legs and behind I'd love to get rid of. I applaude you for going to the gym at 9 at night. I wish I could. I have an excerise bike that I use, I love it. I need to keep my excerising low impact since I've had three knee operations. We also have a pool and I swim. Now I'm not on anything that resembles a schedule but I do what I can when times allows. Since as you know, we Mom's get very little free time for ourselves. I tried the Atkins diet but gave in to my carb cravings. We're about to start it again, inspired by a friend of mine who lost 25 lbs, and looks fantastic. I have also come to terms with the fact that I may never have the same body I did when I was 25, a size 8, fit, and working out! LOL :( Hi Sue,

I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one trying to lose some weight. I didn't put on a lot of weight this time but I still want some more weight off. We'll keep trying, won't we?
