: : I am trying hard to stay fit and lose some weight. I work out at home, but I am not very disciplined. I joined a gym recently and I try to go 5 times a week. I usually go at about 9 PM after tucking the kids in bed, cleaning the kitchen, doing the laundry etc. It is so tough to take out the time everyday to go to the gym. I have the time during the day, but childcare for 2 kids at the gym is expensive. Besides, I tried it once and my 8 month old cried so much that I had to cut my workout short and get home. Anyone else out there that is trying to lose weight after childbirth? And how do you stay motivated? : : I have always been thin and petite. Each time I had my babies, I turned into a huge blimp. I never had time to exercise so I just ate a little less than I did while being pregnant. Some woman get used to eating the same way after delivering their babies. All the pounds came off slowly but surely. My weight is back to my prepregnancy weight but body shape will never be the same. When you are pregnant, the hormones cause your bones to get bigger, like your hips and feet. : What I do now to make sure I keep it off is I will do just 1/2 hour 3 times a week of TaeBO while my babies are napping. : Good luck and don't get discouraged. Your baby is still not a year yet. Keep us updated though on your weight progress. : I guess you're right about the eating part - I was eating a lot while I was pregnant and while I was breastfeeding. Now that I've weaned my baby entirely, I am just starting to cut down on my food too. Hopefully I will see results in a few weeks.
