: When did you lot stop sterlising bottles?
: casey 9 months now and i havent sterlised her bottle in over a week now, shes been ok no thrush or tummy upsets,
: i know they say 12 months just wondering if im doing more harm than good

Recent studies are that you do not need to sterilize your baby's bottles if you have city water where you live, just wash them properly. It also builds immunity to a baby and they get sick less often if you don't sterilize. If you have water from wells or cisterns, then it is wise to sterilize.

I never sterilized my babies bottles or nipples but would wash them in the dishwasher where the tempoerature is over 200 degrees.
