Question on Diaper Genie/Diaper Champ

We were given a Diaper Genie when our son was born, and we think it's great. Unfortunately, it appears that the manufacturer has changed the design, and we can no longer get the proper sized refills. So, we either need to buy a newer Diaper Genie, or go with something else.

Has anyone tried the Diaper Champ? Apparently, you just use regular garbage bags? Is it any good? Or should we get a new Diaper Genie instead?

Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!
