So far none of my dd shots have been optional. In Indiana they have to have whatever she got at her 1 yr. visit to be able to start kindergarten. After her 1 yr shots she got a slight fever and approx. 10 days later she got a rash, which I was told both could occur. I was told the chicken pox vaccine hurts. She got the chicken pox, mmr, and something else. Don't know if it's what your asking about or not.
