: What age would you recommend to commence potty training, and do you have any tips on how to go about it? Many thanks

I think it is good to start them when they show signs of readiness. Both of my girls would rip their diapers off as soon as they went in their diaper and throw the diaper on the floor. After that, they learned in 2 weeks. My first daughter started pulling her diapers off at 2 years and 3 months and learned 2 weeks after that. My second daughter will be 2 in October and just started doing that. I sit her on the toilet about 1/2 hour after she eats or drinks and even if she does not go I make a big deal because she at least sat on the toilet. I let her flush the toilet and tell her bye, bye poo poo and she starts waving and gets excited even if there is nothing in the toilet. I then give her plenty of hugs and kisses and do a dance for her and she laughs.
