Hi Kelly

I agree totally, it certainly is strange how your mind works at some time. Post-partum depression (or any depressive illness) is a nasty thing to experience. One which I think only someone who has experienced it can truly understand. What should be a pleasant experience ie. the birth of a precious and much wanted baby is replaced by feelings of helplessness and hopelessness, thoughts of wanting to escape or in severe cases suicide.

It was wonderful you had such a supportive husband. Although my husband tried, he really didn't understand and thought it was something I should just snap out of. Thank heavens for girl friends, on whom I relied for emotional support.

Cheers
Rowena
