: My daughter is 8 months old and around 6 months was sleeping through the night 8:00 to 7:00 in the morning. Now for 2 months she has been waking up every night a few times per night.

My son has been doing that lately. I usually attribute it to teething. But sometimes he's wet. Sometimes he wakes up because he can't find his binky. My dh says that I should leave alone and let him fuss because I'm making a bad habit of it. But when I hear him crying "mama, mama" I can't ignore him. I find that he goes in phases, waking up at night for a week or so and then sleeping through the night for a week or so. I try not to take him out of bed if I can help it, otherwise he'll thinks it's play time. But if I do have to get him out of bed, I keep the room really dark and don't say to much to him and he usually will fall back to sleep if I rock him. I haven't been able to keep him from waking up. But I have shortened the time I have to be up with him. Good luck.
