Hi Krista;

The baby is very early. I wish I could sound more optimistic but babies born that early are in for a long hard fight. A friend of mine had a baby that was as early as your friends baby not all that long ago. He had a very rough time and required surgery for various problems. I won't get too into it as every baby is different and I don't want to scare you or your friend. I can tell you that the baby will need to stay in the hospital until he reaches what would have been full term or a stage that the doctors are comfortable with. He will need mommy to be strong for him and mommy will need all the support she can get. I wish your friend well and pray that all turns out well. Keep us posted ok :o)You can email me if you want to know more.

: Hello,

: My friend Krista had a baby this morning at about1:26 A.M. a little boy. Thing is she was in her 26th week. So the baby is a little early. I wanted to know if anyone has had a early baby and if her baby was going to be ok. He is 2pds. and 7oz. And she delivered him in about 7 hours is that usual?

: Thank you
