That’s such good advice. I think it’s important for the older sibling to see the new arrival in a positive light from as early as possible. We give each child a gift *from* the newborn at each subsequent birth. And to start even earlier, you could get the “I’m going to be a…big sister” clothes for Hannah from the sibling section at Materni-Tee.com Every child and every relationship is different, but I found it hard (but mainly WONDERFUL) going from 1 to 2 because whereas before I would drop everything if my first child needed me, you can’t do that when you’re holding a baby! And the same when the baby needs you and you’re with the older child. But it’s so rewarding falling in love again and I think a sibling is the best gift you can give a child, even if they don’t seem to realise it. Best wishes and congratulations!

: Congratulations Steve!!!
: Can't really give any advice on having two, as me and my hubby are not there yet. But I have heard from friends with more than one child that jealousy can be a problem sometimes for the first born. I guess the main thing is to really prepare her for the baby and get her involved as much as possible in helping "take care"of her new sister/brother.
