: My son who will soon be 14 months drinks from a sippy cup fine but has shown some interest in drinking from a regular cup. He has tried the regular cup a few times but usually ends up spilling some of his drink on himself. I have also not tried a straw with him yet because I'm worried he will just chew on it and not realize what it is for.
I started my oldest daughter on a regular cup when she was 18 months old, any eariler she would of ended up soaked, Although she did end up wet it learned her to be carful.
