I was wondering if we are confusing him, in that his mother is almost rewarding him for doing it? Or am I expecting too much from him, and should just let him do it, and be much more patient? I just can't get his diaper on right if he isn't laying down...our neighbor with a 13 month daughter changes her standing up. My sister's 12 month old son, lays still......go figure. Hey Mark, it sounds like you have a very active baby like my 11mos. old. She does the exact same thing. It has turned into a 2 person job to just change her diaper. It's rediculous...she screams and cries as soon as you lay her down and she flops around like a fish. But eventually we get her done...It just takes lots and lots of patients... Best of luck to you.
