: My kids have lots of rubber bath toys that suck up water then spray when squeezed. They are great toys, but have built up lots of mildew inside. Any tricks to get the mildew out from inside rubber bath toys? And hints to keep it out?

: PS - I always spray all the water out at the end of each bath time and that still hasn't prevented the mildew from building up??

Hi,

I have the same problem with my son's tub toys. I will usually just put them in the dishwasher every so often and also like you said just squeeze the water out, other than that, I don't really do anything.

Just thought of something else. You could soak them in a solution of vinegar and water, the acetic acid in the vinegar will kill any bacteria growing inside the toys.
