Discipline for 15 month old???

I know we revisit this same subject occasionally, but I need HELP! I am at wits end lately with my son! I hate to say it... but thank goodness he starts daycare next week!

First off he is extremely stubborn, and when he does not get his way, about ANYTHING, he SCREAMS!
He screams at the top of his lungs and kicks.

Recently he has started climbing. I ask him nicely to sit down, I try redirecting his attention, but he stays very focused. And, of course winds up hurting himself everytime. What to do? With this behavior and all the others? Neither Hubby or myself can shower without him throwing a screaming fit during the entire shower! We can not change a diaper without being kicked in the face at least once.

I know he is far too young for time outs, or is he? Any ideas out there? TIA!
