If he can't get out of his crib, a time-out in his crib would be good until he is done screaming. When he is done screaming, make a big deal and shower with affection because he stopped. If he gets out of his crib, I would put him in his room and let him come out when he is done screaming. I have been through this with both of my girls as I am sure everyone else has who has toddlers.
