: Hi my 2 yr old has the hives since last night. she broke out with a little fever..and she was throwing up. this morning she woke up again with the hives but no fever..she seems ok. i am keeping her on fluids..the nurse said to take her in tomorrow for a strep test. what could be causing this? thanks

Sorry, I'm a little late. I have been extremely busy like always. It sounds like he is allergic to something (maybe something he ate). Excessive sweating could have also caused the hives or rash. Strept throat usually causes a very high fever for about 3 or 4 days, so I don't think he has strept throat, a test wouldn't hurt though to be on the safe side. I hope he is doing better? Let me know. Thank you.
