Trying to get 16 Month old to listen

My mother just came to town for Thanksgiving and spoiled my son to the point that now when he sees something he wants, he screams until we give it to him. How do I get him back to being a good boy instead of being so whiney.
Someone please help me. It has only been 3 days but he is driving me crazy.
