: my 5 month old has gas. we give him gas drops and always burb him,but he still cries out with gas pain. lately he has been waking up about every hour at night with gas pain.anybody have any ideas?

Hi,

You said lately he is waking often in the night with gas pains.....just wondering is he having something different in his diet than usual? Have you introduced any new foods in his diet that could be considered gassy? Or there may be a food that just doesn't agree with him.
You can try lying him on his back and do a bicycle motion with his legs and also bring his legs up to his chest and apply light pressure. This will help relive gas...
Also, once your baby starts to become more mobile, the gas will become a thing of the past or very rare.
