Hi,

My son just turned 18 months and I am a little concerned because he does not seem interesed in using a baby spoon or fork to feed himself. He can feed himself using his hands no problem but when I make him cereal, soup, or something that requires utensils he wants me to feed him. If I leave him by himself with the ustensil he will cry. He does periodically try to use his spoon/fork but gets frustrated with trying to pick the food up. If I put the food on the utensil for him, he can easily put it in his mouth himself.
Any suggestions? Should I be concerned or just let him go at his own pace. I just never thought I would still be feeding him at 18 months....though I don't mind.
