Nannies and midwifes!!!!

Hello everyone. Two questions really. 1, Does anyone know anything at all about becomming a midwife. i am really interested in doing so or at least finding out more about it but i havnt got a clue where to start. Also i am looking for a nannie in the South UK for my 1 month old any recommendations or websites would be appreciated. Many Thanks
