by Dr. William and Martha Sears - they are parents of *8* kids so i felt like they knew what they where talking about LOL.

If you are comfortable w/ what is happening that don't let anyone talk you out of what is working for your family. I nurse my 10 month old to sleep probably 9 nights out of 10. I also nurse her a couple of times during the night, but we share sleep, so it's no big deal.

it seems to SO much depend on the child when they will sleep. I have friends (nursing/ family bed) who's child(ren) prefer to be laid down to go to sleep on their own from practically birth while others (mainly mine LOL) prefer to be parented to sleep well into the preschool yrs.

Dr. Sears has a website w/ lots of good info, but he posted his "8 sleep facts* here: http://askdrsears.com/html/7/T070200.asp

hth!
