My daughter was over a year old when she stopped sleeping in her car seat. she went straight from her car seat to her toddler bed. I hated it but my husband talked tour pediatrition and he said it was perfectly fine for a child to sleep in their carseat until they were up to 2 years old. i say if you feel the need you know best when to switch to the crib or bed.
