My husband and I used babywise, but were somewhat flexible w/ it. We read and loved "The Baby Whisperer" too - it had wonderful advice for how to read your baby's cues and discern why your baby is crying - hunger or something else. My advice is to read that book, and I would feed a 1 to 2 month old every 2 1/12 hours if he seems to need it. Be flexible and listen to your baby. At night, for now, feed her when she's hungry even if it's every 3 hrs. In the next month or two, she will gradually go longer. Our baby slept 6 to 8 hours by 9 or 10 weeks, and has been on a wonderful sleep schedule ever since (10 months old now). I was a little impatient at 8 months, but give your baby time. But do be consistent as she gets older. For ex: once she's sleeping through the night, if she starts waking, let her put herself back to sleep (w/in reason).
