: Hi! My son is 18 months old and is taking one nap a day. He's been taking only one nap for about 4 weeks now. Since the transition, his naps are only about 1 hour long. He sleeps about 11 to 11 1/2 hours at night. I feel like he should be napping longer. What do you think? He puts himself to sleep, we have "black out shades" in his room and the neighborhood is relatively quiet. Any suggestions or advice ??? Thanks so much !!!!!!

MY 16 month old is exactly the same way. If he naps at all during the day, it's for 1 hour max. But, at night he sleeps 11 1/2-12 hours. If he has an unusaully busy day, then he will sleep 1-2 hours nap, and 12 hours at night. He doesn't get crabby until about 9PM, then we wind him down, bath, jammies, and bedtime story, and he's konked out by 10. I'm fine with this, since I'm not a morning person, and yet I don't have to stay up too late. Take Care. Jamie C
