I was nursing her on demand (every 1 1/2 hours) by feeding her when she cried. It turns out I wasn't paying attention to her cries. When she was tired, I was sticking a boob in her mouth & she got extra fore-milk (which is lactose-rich) which made her gassy & fussy. I started feeding her every 2 1/2 to 3 hours & she was like a new baby. Once we had bedtime figured out & the feedings down, naptime basically fixed itself. She is now almost 11 months old, still breastfeeding, & sleeps great. She falls alseep on her own & only gets up once during the night.

Thanks for the help! I will try it. I was just wondering did you have to pick your girl up many times and then put her back again (as they suggest in the book) and how many days has passed until she started falling asleep without fussing. I am a little bit concerned that if I let her fuss for a too long she won't sleep at all (we will go way out of that window when they are ready to go to sleep).... I am sure I will find our on my own, but just curious how this works.
Also, I am only breast feeding at night, she takes bottle with breast milk during the day (every 3 hrs).
